The Workplace Gender Equality Agency is an Australian Government statutory agency that:
- promotes and improves workplace gender equality
- administers the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 (Act).
Our vision is for women and men to be equally represented, valued and rewarded in the workplace.
We proactively drive positive gender equality outcomes by developing best-practice solutions and inspiring change.
We explore, embrace and create new ways to address gender equality by operating with rigour, flexibility and creativity.
We engage all team members and stakeholders in a respectful and inclusive manner to foster successful partnerships.
Workplace gender equality is achieved when people are able to access and enjoy the same rewards, resources and opportunities, regardless of gender.

We are committed to promoting and contributing to understanding, acceptance and public debate of gender equality issues in the workplace.
WGEA is supported by a small team with diverse experience leading research, education, operations, advice and reporting, and public affairs.
Achieving gender equality in the workplace depends on close collaboration with employers.
